MY STORY
My name is Elizabeth Farr and my family is my world. I am surrounded by their comfort, compassion and support. In 2002 my husband Steve and I were blessed with our beautiful daughter, Hope. Her radiant smile and amazing character have inspired me to be much more than I ever thought possible.
After my pregnancy with Hope my skin became very sensitive and reactive. I had a "pregnancy mask" of darkened skin around my eyes, forehead and cheekbones that was very embarrassing and did not respond to any treatments. I was very tired of my skin reacting to the chemicals in everyday products. My skin was unhealthy, completely stripped of its nutrients and raw from the harsh ingredients I was putting on it to treat and heal. So I began to research and develop products that would feed my skin with the essential vitamins, minerals and oils. Ingredients that promote skin health! For the last three years I have been on a mission to provide truly all natural skin care. Skin care that is affordable, feeds the skin with nourishing ingredients and, above all, works!
I realized that to achieve beautiful, healthy skin we cannot look at a product as simply a product. Rather look at it as a list of ingredients. Instead of reading names like 'moisturizer' and 'cleanser' I read labels with names like red dye, parabens and sodium lauryl sulphate. I realized that when putting on a product I am putting on the entire list of ingredients. Since the skin is the largest organ of the body (some saying it absorbs over 80% of what is put on it) I began asking myself if I would be okay eating the list of ingredients that I was applying. With these questions in mind I began formulating Face Of Hope Skin Care:
* Could I pronounce the ingredients?
* Do I really know what they are and how they are made?
* Are they nourishing and nutritious?
* Would I eat them?
And, perhaps most importantly...
* Would I put them on my daughter?
Face Of Hope was created after years of developing and testing the products on myself and numerous enthusiastic women that volunteered as 'guinea pigs' and were more than willing to tell their favourite all natural ingredients and give me honest feedback about the products.
Face Of Hope is named after my daughter, Hope. And I am proud to have her use every single product! Her beautiful face is nourished, protected and lovingly cared for. The logo image displays her angelic face looking at her favourite winged creature, the butterfly. She is the Face Of Hope!
